Exercise Khaan Quest 2009 is a multinational peace support operations exercise co-sponsored by the Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) and U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) with the support of the U.S. Department of State. The U.S. Marine Corps and the MAF first conducted Khaan Quest, a combined peacekeeping operations field training exercise (FTX) in Mongolia in 2003. The combined 2003 FTX was conducted in two phases, training in peacekeeping operations and physical fitness of noncommissioned officers.
