TIWG Focus. Identify requirements for enhancing participating countries’ transnational intelligence capabilities, propose initiatives to meet those requirements, and formulate techniques & capabilities to improve the theater-wide transnational intelligence effort. This focus directly supports broader initiatives within the transnational functional areas of Counterterrorism (CT), Counternarcotics (CN), Maritime & Border Security, and Transnational Crime.
TIWG Method. Annual working group venue, at O5/6 level. Resulting issues, proposals, recommendations presented by TIWG attendees to their country's military Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) for guidance and/or decision. Issues and proposed solutions worked by participant countries' throughout the year. Successive TIWGs build upon this iterative staff coordination.
